What are mannan oligosaccharides?

Mannan  Oligosaccharides, also known as Mannose Oligosaccharides, are the English abbreviation MOS. Mannan-oligosaccharide is a new type of antigen active substance extracted from the cell wall of yeast culture. It is widely present in the cell walls of konjac flour, guar gum, sesame gum, and various microorganisms.

Mannan Oligosaccharides is not only had good physical and chemical properties, such as low calorie, stability, safety, and non-toxicity, but also can protect the intestines and improve immunity, and have been proven to have an anti-hydrolysis effect on the action of digestive enzymes in the human intestine. We use it in the food production process. Mannan Oligosaccharides are also widely used as a feed additive in the foreign feed industry. (It must be noted here that we have food grade and feed grade)

As for the amount of addition, mannan Oligosaccharides is suggested that the amount of oligomannitol added should better be one-thousandth to three-thousandths.

Mannan Oligosaccharides Benefits

Mannan oligosaccharides have the excellent characteristics of functional foods:

-Non-absorption: Mannan oligomers are functional oligosaccharides connected by β-1.4 glycosidic bonds, which cannot be digested and absorbed by the human body, and will not cause blood sugar rise, and can effectively reach the intestines. The lower part of track 2.

-Proliferation of beneficial bacteria: Tests on animals and humans have shown that mannan oligosaccharides can significantly proliferate bifidobacteria in the body. After one week, the bifidobacteria in feces increase by 50-100 times. At the same time, it inhibits the proliferation of harmful bacteria, and the animal gains weight significantly.
