What is Organic Dextrose?

Organic dextrose, also known as organic grape sugar or d-glucose, is a monosaccharide, the simplest form of sugar. It occurs naturally in fruits, vegetables, and honey. Commercially, organic dextrose is produced by the enzymatic conversion of organic cornstarch.

There are two main types of organic dextrose available:

  • Organic Dextrose Monohydrate: This is the most common form of organic dextrose. It contains one molecule of water for each molecule of dextrose, resulting in a crystalline powder form.
  • Organic Dextrose Anhydrous: This form of dextrose has all the water molecules removed, creating a finer, more granular powder.
